I have known Sheriff Bartlett his entire law enforcement career. I have found him to be a fair minded individual, who is capable of working across the political landscape to achieve his goals. He is dedicated to the community as many others are, by volunteering with his local fire department and other organizations.
He is constantly working to keep expenses under control by aggressively seeking funding to enhance public safety. Many grants have been secured over the years to provide the necessary monies to aid in this goal.
We all know that the opioid problem has impacted almost everyone in the country either by knowing someone personally and the effect on the family or the struggle of communities in which we live. His approach to combating the epidemic shows that he understands the complex nature of the problem.
He knows that the youth of our community are the ones that will be able to successfully tackle the drug problem. His never-ending support of educating our youth on the consequences of the use of drugs is evident by his backing of DARE, Drug Abuse Resistance Education, programs in our schools.
Sheriff Bartlett is continually working on the drug problem in association with the county health agencies to ensure that individuals that need assistance are directed to them in their time of need. He ensures that the individuals that are internees at the county jail receive the aid they require, along with offering them assistance after they are released.
The drug investigative unit are working hand in hand with other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies on the epidemic to combat the growing needs of our county.
Sheriff Bartlett has the experience and dedication that is required for the job and we need to keep him office to continue providing the leadership to accomplish these goals. I ask that you cast your vote on Nov. 7 in support of Sheriff David Bartlett.
